Fort Myers Swimming Pool Renovation Project
Our office was contacted by a homeowner who had recently purchased their residence with a want to take their existing, outdated pool and update it with amenities commonly found in modern, new construction swimming pools.
Working with the customer, we were able to craft a game-plan around the modifications they wanted to make to the existing pool structure that aligned with our recommendations to best facilitate their requests. The result, a beautiful, modernized swimming pool utilizing efficient building practices along with premium lighting and pool equipment.

Completed Pool
Scope Of Work
The customer’s existing pool was a standard rectangle with a non-functioning spa. The pool contained no seating and the existing surface of the pool was in poor condition, warranting a renovation. During construction, our team added a tanning ledge 7 feet long, with new steps that connected the ledge into the pool. Additionally, two swim seats were added. A large swim seat was added away from the home so our customers could watch TV while relaxing in the pool, and a full width swim seat was added at the deep end of the swimming pool.
The pool was styled with new waterline tile with glass accents throughout and glass accents outlining the ledges, steps, and seats. The surface of the pool was a Florida Stucco Mosaic with additional iridescent glass added to the mix to create a remarkable finish.
Pool Lighting
As the swimming pool had only a single incandescent light, with zero lighting in the spa, we added four LED niche less lights to the pool. Additionally we added a nich less light to the tanning ledge and spa. The pool, tanning ledge, and spa all received their own light transformer which enabled our customer the ability to operate independently with different colors being used at the same time.
Pool Equipment
The existing pool equipment was in poor condition and not functioning properly on its current two pump system. Our team re-plumbed the pool equipment using 2″ diameter plumbing with upgraded full flow valves into a single pump system. Converting from 1.5” plumbing and using the 2” full flow valves greatly reduces the restriction in the pool plumbing and allowing the pump to work at peak efficiency. We installed new variable speed, energy efficient, filtration pump, oversized cartridge filter, Wi-Fi enabled pool automation, salt system chlorine generator, and gas pool heater.
